Love is patient. Love is kind. This is all I remember from the passage from the Bible. Well, it’s probably because I have a short term memory or maybe it’s the only ones that matter ( I’m in self denial).

Anyway, I have not paid attention to it before and I don’t know why( i do pay attention to mass , i think) .It’s one of my favourite quotes and it’s quite obvious why. This is what we strive for in our daily struggles day by day. We are in need of affection, attention and confirmation of our social status constantly but little did we realise we are not loving that way.

To love is to be selfless. To love is to let go of our ego and pride and to humble ourselves. We live to love.

We can say we love a romantic partner and willing to spend the rest of your lives together. But is that love? Many have their own interpretations but mine is that no matter how difficult relationships get regardless of romantic notion and personal flaws, you are willing to be patient, kind and just with him or her especially when there is no return of the favour. That is the saddest, toughest but the most beautiful kind.

What is the reward though? I always feel that the joy one receives when you help another to learn how to love too is more than enough.
